Some people say
This life is filled with slings and arrows
And we die
Your life simply blinks out
Some people say
This life is only the beginning
They sound as if they’ve never had a doubt
And then some people say
This life is like two paths diverging
In the yellow, leaf-strewn open wood
Some think that when
We die we’ll all be reunited
With our loved ones only if we’re good

Some say we live over and over
Til we each become who we are meant to be
Then Sink into blissful loss of ego
In a consciousness more vast than any sea

Some people say
This life is merely an illusion
Viewed darkly as though through a glass
Some people say
This life is nothing but a dream
From which we only wake once we have passed
And some say when we die
And we are laid to rest
We go up to the Spirit in the sky
Some people say
Our lives are unique little snowflakes
Falling gently on the mountains high

Then when the springtime comes the snow melts
Feeding streams in the valleys down below
Running through canyons to the oceans
And seas where those waters tend to flow
I’ll say this with a sigh
As for me I’ll try
To live life to the fullest till I die
Then should we meet again tomorrow
I’ll imagine it will be
Where the ocean meets the sky
