My car got broken into
My stereo is gone
I sent a claim to my insurance
So they cancelled my policy
On some technicality
Sent a letter to the DMV
Which nulled my registration
Now I owe them a hefty fee
And fines I can’t afford to pay
But they’re not due just right away
I should have time to save
But my taxes have just been raised
So while I’m earning more now
Than I did this time last year
I’m taking home much less
And all my paychecks quickly disappear

And I’m deep into debt
Feeling defeat
Most days I can’t afford to eat
And it’s been wearing on me
So now I’m trying to sleep

And all of these things more than I can take

They just turned off my phone
So now collection agencies
